This comic strip was published on January 18, 2003 vis-a-vis the World Meeting of Families celebration that focused on the value of the Family. I quoted some of the memorable lines from the theme song entitled "Only Selfless Love" as it succinctly captures the perennial message for all of us to adapt in order to truly have a strong foundation for the basic unit of society...our own families.
Amazing Grace had her debut on the newspaper on August 23, 2002. I was elated when she first came out. And just like an answered prayer, I went out telling my friends about it like a raving lunatic. This year, we are celebrating her 9th anniversary. I hope and pray she'll be here, warts and all, for more years to come.

Alien to the World
By: Percy R. Lugue
This particular comic strip of Amazing Grace was first published in the Manila Bulletin on September 7, 2002. Back then Manila Bulletin is promoting Reading through their various Ad campaigns. One of the more memorable ones is the Reading Advertisement that featured Disney's Lilo and Stitch reading the newspaper. It has a catchy catchphrase that says, You are an alien to the world if you don't read the newspaper...or something to that effect. Of course, we saw the earlier signs of Amazing Grace messing up with the message for jocular effects. Oh well, that's not so Super Amazing Grace.

Past isn't Past

“Learn from yesterday, live for today, hope for tomorrow. The important thing is not to stop questioning.” Albert Einstein
For everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through endurance and the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope.
